Why Should I Do This?
This is a way to promote some of the awesome members of our clay community. We will post your stuff right here, on the Expert Clay blog. We will also send at least one of your images over to the social media accounts. We’ll even send some of our favorites over to the Pottery Making Info social accounts. This is a great opportunity to practice telling your story, and putting it in front of some other people. It also gives the Expert Clay blog some great content to share.
What Should I Share?
There are only a few things that are required:
- Tell Us About Yourself
- Share An Image of Yourself
- Tell Us About Your Work
- Share An Image of Your Work
Tell as much or as little as you like.
You can also share your email, an extra image of your work, and links to your website, online store and social media accounts.
Other Questions
Am I guaranteed to be featured?
No guarantees but if you meet all the requirements and you have an interesting story and images, you have a very good chance. Things that will make you less likely to be featured: saying mean things, inappropriate images, one word answers, if you don’t actually work with clay, etc.
When will I be featured?
It depends… Featured makers will be posted in order of submission. Makers may be featured once a month, maybe even up to once a week. So, depending on the number of makers ahead of you, it could be a while.
Are there any length requirements to the answers?
Not really. If you can tell your story in a paragraph that is fine. If you need 5 paragraphs that is fine too.
Can I copy and paste things I already wrote on my site/blog?
Sure. But this may be a good opportunity to make it even better. Or show a different side of yourself or work.
